It’s June 1962, and you’re a prisoner at the United States Federal Penitentiary, Alcatraz Island, the most secure prison ever built. In this fun, light-hearted escape room, we’ll find out if you and your team work together to take back your freedom...or if you’re destined to spend the rest of your days sweeping the cold, damp halls of…Alcatraz!
How it works:
Before your event, we’ll split your total group up into escape teams of ~5 participants. Teams can be pre-assigned or randomized.
We’ll welcome everyone to Alcatraz at the start of the activity, give you your new inmate uniform (a fun virtual background), and then we’ll quickly whisk everyone off to their cells (breakout rooms). Teams will be greeted in their cell by one of our Wardens, who lead a short ice-breaker and then introduce the activity in detail. Teams will then have 50 minutes to complete their escape.
After the time’s up, we’ll close the breakout rooms and bring everyone back for a hilarious awards presentation where we’ll introduce the teams and announce the final results!
Escape Alcatraz is great for anyone interested in a casual, slightly competitive activity.
Escape Alcatraz is a browser-based activity and requires no downloads or logins. We recommend that all participants join from a computer.
Participants: Broken up into teams of up to 5 people. Teams will play in separate rooms at the same time.
