My name is Dan and I am a coffee enthusiast and have been a home coffee roaster for over 20 years. It all started when my favorite coffee shop was bought by a giant coffee chain and that delicious morning brew just disappeared. Sadly, I could not find another cup of coffee that suited my tastes, so I began roasting and brewing my own coffee.
As a self-taught roaster, I enhanced my coffee knowledge with the education programs offered by the Specialty Coffee Association and became an SCA-certified roaster. I enjoy meeting coffee enthusiasts and sharing the many roasting methods I have used from a cast-iron skillet to a commercial-style drum roaster.
